A very exciting offer: A single Jubilee Orpington Rooster, lots of project potential ! This is an exemplary rooster and was selected from over dozens of others for our own personal breeding stock.
Jubilee Orpingtons stand at the pinnacle of the orpington breed, and Greenfire Farms was the first to import these birds into America from British stock. With their huge, round bodies and striking color pattern, they create an unforgettable impression.
Created during the year of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, the jubilee Orpington does evoke a sense of royal celebration with its confetti speckling of rich emerald and sapphire over a base of deep mahogany plumage.
Despite their remarkable size, jubilees are among the most gentle of any chicken breed. Gorgeous, calm, and prolific egg layers, they manage to strike a wonderful balance between beauty and utility.
This giant, flightless breed is ideal for the urban backyard setting as a mere 18" fence is all that it takes to keep these birds from wandering the neighborhood.
