RareBreedAuctions.com is committed to providing that opportunity to you, the buyer or seller of rare breeds.

Other auction sites created by livestock experts have failed the test of time due to a lack of technical proficiency and poor customer service. At RareBreedAuctions.com, we specialize in raising livestock, but we also make our living in developing and maintaining customer relationships through online communication.

We are committed to building a strong and ethical community that allows members to sell and bid with confidence. We pledge to be responsive, helpful and friendly to our members and guests, and we encourage you to tell us about your experiences so that we can continuously improve our service.

We welcome you to our community and look forward to meeting your needs.

Love the colors! They help my husband tell the difference between Lyonnaise, Barbezieux, and Black Copper Marans! He's getting the hang of it! Shipping was super fast. I will be back for more because they have a LOT of uses! Thanks!

VERY cool bands! We have used all the Superman ones already, and some of our baby cockerals refuse to put on flowers or hearts. They HAVE agreed to ladybugs, however. Shipping was immediate. Thanks so much!

Thank you for the 6 chicks! It will be a treat to see them grow and develop into adulthood. They really enjoy the warmth of Florida! During the day, we are now letting them outside in a protected round pen. Lots of pecking and scratching going on!

WOW! Did these guys have a rough trip, or WHAT? This is a great example of why chicks need to be sent on Mondays and Tuesdays. It seems like there was a major glitch in the great Lone Star State. Even with 2-day GUARANTEED Priority Express mail, it can take longer, it appears! Thank you for your patience and diligence and follow through on this purchase. And thanks even more for sending a video of them. They looked like they really enjoyed the food and water after their L-O-N-G trip! Take care!

Welcome to the addictive RBA! THANK YOU so much for sending me pictures of these little guys! Looks like you have a great set up for the chicks. The hens will lay a LOT of LARGE eggs for you. (They told me so!) Take care!

What a trip for these guys! Thanks for being a good mom for these chicks. So happy they made it in great shape. Their trip was DEFINITELY from one end of the country to the other! Take care!

We sure had a thrill ride with these chicks! I am so glad that they arrived at your home safely after the unexpected 23-hour overnight stay in Jacksonville (courtesy of the USPS!). I don't know HOW all the labels and the peeps went unnoticed (giving benefit of the doubt...) Thanks for the constant contact and updates on your end; worried parents on both sides of the trip! Take care. This adventure is a memory!

I am SO happy to have these healthy and happy birds on board! They were shipped with the utmost care from SC to North Central Florida. The post office was glad/sad to see the chicks leave for our farm; the personnel enjoyed answering customers' questions of, "Do you hear baby chicks?" And the postal people answered that they didn't hear ANY chirping and pretended that all was quiet. My hat's off to Daniel for presenting 9 two-week old chicks! Fear nothing when bidding on his auctions. Thanks again!

RBA Member Code of Conduct

Updated: May 28, 2015
This website is a service intended to benefit our country's livestock and the people who raise it. In order for this community to thrive and achieve our mission, its necessary that all registered members adhere to a Code of Conduct that ensures fair trade. By registering as a member you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct, and any violations of the Code of Conduct will result in being banned from this site and such other legal action as may be required. The Code of Conduct is as follows:

  1. A person may not create multiple accounts.
  2. A seller may not bid on his or her own auction and may not coordinate with family and friends to do so.
  3. A winning bid creates a legally binding contact, and winning bidders are required to pay the seller. If you have questions about an animal being auctioned the time to ask those questions is well before the close of the auction. Doubts, unanswered questions, second-guessing, an unanticipated or sudden change in personal circumstances, or buyer's remorse are not valid reasons for a winning bidder to refuse to pay after an auction closes.
  4. Read the text of the auction carefully before you bid. Once you bid your bid cannot be undone. Your bid is a legally binding offer to the seller, and if you are the high bidder your offer is automatically accepted and becomes a legally binding contract under which you are obligated to pay the seller.
  5. Sellers may not use other people's photos, breed descriptions, or trade names without their express written permission. Copyright violations are not allowed.
  6. Sellers must accurately describe the animal they are selling including the pedigree of the animal.
  7. When giving feedback a person must accurately describe the facts that support the feedback rating.
  8. In order to be valid, feedback must be posted by sellers within seven days after payment is due and for buyers within seven days after the birds or eggs are shipped.
  9. A person may not send profane or harassing messages about an auction.
  10. A seller advertising imported poultry must be prepared to provide a copy of the USDA import permit proving the legal importation of the poultry. Only legally imported poultry may be sold at auction.
  11. A seller or buyer may not use an auction or RBA-related tools to negotiate direct sales outside of an auction. This includes asking buyers to "gift" money via PayPal.
  12. A seller may not pre-sell hatching eggs or day-old chicks with a shipment date more than four weeks after the auction ends.
  13. This is a community. Be POLITE and courteous. If you are rude, you may be asked to leave.
  14. A seller will comply with all relevant government regulations including those related to the shipping of live birds and NPIP compliance.

Thank you for participating in our community. Happy selling and bidding! If you have questions, comments or concerns, please email the store manager.
