RareBreedAuctions.com is dedicated to preserving America’s rare and heritage breeds of poultry and livestock. We believe that the best way to save these breeds is to create a market for these animals where buyers and sellers can meet and bargain in a fair and professional environment facilitated by state-of-the-art technology. RareBreedAuctions.com is committed to providing that opportunity to you, the buyer or seller of rare breeds.

Other auction sites created by livestock experts have failed the test of time due to a lack of technical proficiency and poor customer service. At RareBreedAuctions.com, we specialize in raising livestock, but we also make our living in developing and maintaining customer relationships through online communication.

We are committed to building a strong and ethical community that allows members to sell and bid with confidence. We pledge to be responsive, helpful and friendly to our members and guests, and we encourage you to tell us about your experiences so that we can continuously improve our service.

We welcome you to our community and look forward to meeting your needs.

Description

Darrowby Ducks' lines have been carefully cultivated from top breeders around the United States so we can provide you with genetically diverse, healthy, beautiful ducks! We do not show our ducks but we want you to!

Please read before purchasing:

- We curate our excellent quality stock with lots of care and pride! Our birds are pasture raised and allowed to forage. We breed to APA show standards when such standards exist.

- Our eggs are always fresh at shipment and we hatch our own eggs to ensure against defects and infertility.

- We offer eggs here when our incubators are full. Prices here are often much lower than our listings elsewhere. We do this because we enjoy sharing our birds!

- We ship as promptly as possible. However, we cannot force animals to lay eggs. Please be patient.

- a shipment notice automatically generates when we print the label. That does not mean that your eggs have been shipped.

- Our shipping costs are high because we use quality materials to keep your eggs as safe as possible in these difficult times. No need to worry about "creative" packaging efforts! Sometimes shipping is included!

- We currently ship Monday and Friday only at this time. (We swap out the "oldest" eggs on days that we don't ship!)

Most importantly:

**Seller is not liable for any damage during (or after) shipping. Refunds and replacements are NOT available. Once the item leaves our hands, our responsibility ends. We will NOT respond to messages (especially abusive ones) on this topic except to direct you to this notice!**

- We ship our eggs with USPS Priority mail. You can file an insurance claim with the post office (online or in person) if your eggs are damaged or lost in transit. All of the information you require is located on the transaction.

- Your eggs are NOT too old to incubate, unless the shipping time was unusually long. We regularly incubate eggs at 15 days old with great success! They are usually straight from the bird!

- We cannot respond to questions about incubation, hatching, etc. We are very sorry, but this is a busy farm. Please utilize duckduckgo!

**If you didn't read the item description before purchasing that is unfortunate**

Thank you so much for slogging through all of that! If you are still with us (and maybe smiling) then you are our type! Please make your purchase/bid!

RBA Member Code of Conduct

Updated: May 28, 2015
This website is a service intended to benefit our country's livestock and the people who raise it. In order for this community to thrive and achieve our mission, its necessary that all registered members adhere to a Code of Conduct that ensures fair trade. By registering as a member you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct, and any violations of the Code of Conduct will result in being banned from this site and such other legal action as may be required. The Code of Conduct is as follows:

  1. A person may not create multiple accounts.
  2. A seller may not bid on his or her own auction and may not coordinate with family and friends to do so.
  3. A winning bid creates a legally binding contact, and winning bidders are required to pay the seller. If you have questions about an animal being auctioned the time to ask those questions is well before the close of the auction. Doubts, unanswered questions, second-guessing, an unanticipated or sudden change in personal circumstances, or buyer's remorse are not valid reasons for a winning bidder to refuse to pay after an auction closes.
  4. Read the text of the auction carefully before you bid. Once you bid your bid cannot be undone. Your bid is a legally binding offer to the seller, and if you are the high bidder your offer is automatically accepted and becomes a legally binding contract under which you are obligated to pay the seller.
  5. Sellers may not use other people's photos, breed descriptions, or trade names without their express written permission. Copyright violations are not allowed.
  6. Sellers must accurately describe the animal they are selling including the pedigree of the animal.
  7. When giving feedback a person must accurately describe the facts that support the feedback rating.
  8. In order to be valid, feedback must be posted by sellers within seven days after payment is due and for buyers within seven days after the birds or eggs are shipped.
  9. A person may not send profane or harassing messages about an auction.
  10. A seller advertising imported poultry must be prepared to provide a copy of the USDA import permit proving the legal importation of the poultry. Only legally imported poultry may be sold at auction.
  11. A seller or buyer may not use an auction or RBA-related tools to negotiate direct sales outside of an auction. This includes asking buyers to "gift" money via PayPal.
  12. A seller may not pre-sell hatching eggs or day-old chicks with a shipment date more than four weeks after the auction ends.
  13. This is a community. Be POLITE and courteous. If you are rude, you may be asked to leave.
  14. A seller will comply with all relevant government regulations including those related to the shipping of live birds and NPIP compliance.

Thank you for participating in our community. Happy selling and bidding! If you have questions, comments or concerns, please email the store manager.
